Culinary Innovation
Creating new recipes is daily work at Crop's. Our development kitchen is buzzing with specialists exploring new possibilities based on trend reports, market analyses, and consumer surveys. And we don't just observe from afar. With offices and sales teams located in Europe, the USA and Asia, we make sure we understand the consumer needs specific to different regions of the world, which are later translated into new products by our NPD team.
Packaging Innovation
Two main drivers for ongoing packaging innovation at Crop's are convenience and sustainability. As an international player with vast experience in the frozen food industry, we have built expertise around packaging techniques together with our partners among major global packaging material producers.
We stay in close contact with them to find the optimal packaging solutions for every product we offer. We introduce and implement these new packaging options to our customers in a short and agile process, granting them direct access to innovative solutions.
Currently, we are working on topics such as plastic-free packaging, paper-based lidding foil, reducing waste to a minimum, and exploring the most sustainable lifecycle of packaging.
Process Innovation
With the "tasty, healthy, easy" philosophy behind all our frozen ready meals, we innovate to maximize these three aspects in each product. That's why we put so much focus on process innovation, continuously investing in new packaging lines (tray, bowl, and sealing) and production lines. This allows us to offer diverse products packed according to needs, not just the available facilities. On the product level, we make sure we stay in control of all ingredients, including sauces, the binding element of each dish, essential to its flavor. Thanks to unique coating technology, we can cover each individual piece of vegetable or pasta with sauce, ensuring delightful taste in every bite.
